The research within the Sleeping Financial Giants project was directly linked to the research project Earth System Finance, housed at the The Global Economic Dynamics and the Biosphere programme (GEDB) at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, and conducted in collaboration with Stockholm Resilience Centre (Stockholm University) and Future Earth. The work was funded by Vinnova, Futura Foundation, the Erling-Persson Family Foundation, and Mistra (The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research).
