Communications specialist
Science writer and journalist Owen Gaffney is a communications consultant for Future Earth and director of international media and strategy at the Stockholm Resilience Centre. He is based at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. For a decade he has worked in Earth system science communication. His work focuses on understanding, communicating and visualizing humanity’s impact on the planet through concepts such as the Anthropocene and planetary boundaries, and transformation processes.
